I have only recently tried hiking in Smartwool, and they work great.  I
would like to also note that I have hiked 1,900 miles in Thorlo's Trekking
Socks w/ Wigwam Ultimax liners and did not have any blisters until after the
first 1k miles, bought new sock and the problems never returned.
